Eric Alexander

Eric Alexander (nee Algernon Foxe) was born in Elizabethan London in 1564, the son of a favorite hand-maiden of Elizabeth, who was killed during one of many Papal backed assasination attempts. He was brought up as a ward of sorts of the queen, but he had to remain hidden during the official happenings of the court so that he could not be used as leverage by any potential political foes. During his early teen years he became a voracious reader and taught himself Aramaic grammar so he could translate the bible for himself. He also found a love for sword play that quickly became apparent to the queen, as well as the cold-violent streak that would bubble to the surface. In 1576 he enrolled into Oxford to study the bible and philosophy. After receiving his degree he went into the British foriegn diplomat corps as an "advisor". On one of these trips he became close friends with Christopher Marlowe, to whom he became permanantly attatched in Reims in 1587. From that time on he acted as a confidant, advisor and bodyguard to the sometimes spy poet. Marlowe's death by a thug's knife is one of the few moments that Marlowe did not have access to Foxe's protection, a moment that sometimes haunts him to this day. After the incident, and his subsequent breakdowns for allowing such a valued agent and beloved friend to die, he was transferred to the small court in Scotland where he encountered an emisarry on tour from France. This man (Henri Martell) was attracted to Foxe's mind and invited him to the manor that he had just purchased in the area. Algernon's embrace followed after an evening of theology and martial theory. Over the ensuing century he dropped from mortal eyes and attended to his master's English home. During the English revolution, his house was severely damaged and he was torpored by a suppourt beam. In 1913, during a military training exercise a artillery shell knocked him out of his torpor. In the ensuing years he has wandered over Europe assisting various factions during times of war and rebellion. In 1973 he smuggled himself into the US in a shipment of cars. Since he has been on many sabbat war fronts, most recently Roanoke, VA. After rolling over the Camarilla in that city, he decided to move to Morgantown to settle down and study....or that was the plan anyway.
