Victor Hume

This much is obvious. I am also the Grand Harpy of Morgantown. I had the fortune to be born in the same year as J.S. Bach. I still play some of his music--I studied cello in Scotland till I was about 15. At that point, my parents decided that I should have a more formal European education. Due to some small skill I had at the time I began attracting attention. Violinists and violists were common enough, but a cellist with talent was a rarity.

In my 20th year I attraccted the attention of a dark Spanish fellow. He claimed that with my talent in cello, fencing and my gregarious nature I would go far. He said that he belonged to a Clan from Spain. This seemed odd to me but at the time I had only five years of experience with the continent. He offered me a deal. If I continued to improve in all those areas, he would give me a priceless gift on my 25th birthday.

I told him I would discuss it with my family in Scotland and he agreed to permit that. Too bad the fellow on the HMS Fang didn't agree with him; I was Embraced on the way home. My sire explained it away as seasickness. I arrived home at dark a changed person...
